Solar Britain works with UK commercial property owners, occupiers and landlords. The site, the calculator and our guides are written for business use and are not consumer domestic advice. If you are a consumer buying for a home, statutory consumer rights are not displaced by these terms.

Figures shown anywhere on this site — including calculator outputs, payback periods, savings, grant amounts, tariffs and system sizes — are indicative illustrations based on the assumptions stated and on typical UK conditions at the time of writing. They are not a quotation, a survey, a financial promotion or a guarantee of outcome.

Any actual project depends on a site-specific review covering roof condition and structure, electrical and grid connection (DNO) requirements, metering and half-hourly consumption data, planning and compliance, and finance approval. Where those differ from our assumptions, results will differ. A written proposal issued to you prevails over anything published here.

Submitting an enquiry does not create a contract. We may pass qualified enquiries to the technical or finance partner best suited to your project, as set out in our privacy policy. Installation, equipment supply and finance contracts are entered into separately and are subject to eligibility, site suitability and lender approval.

Manufacturer warranty terms summarised on this site, including on our hardware warranties page, are representative examples of typical UK market products rather than an exhaustive or binding statement. The documentation supplied with your specific equipment, and the terms confirmed in your proposal, are what apply.

You may view, download and print pages for your own internal business use. Any other use requires our written permission.

We link to sources such as Ofgem, HMRC, government grant schemes and manufacturers for reference. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or availability. Reference to a product, scheme or partner is not an endorsement of suitability for your site.

We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site, including guides, tools and location pages, without notice.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that, we exclude all implied warranties in relation to your use of the site, and we are not liable to business users for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site or reliance on indicative figures published on it. Our total liability in connection with the site is limited to £100.

These terms and your use of this site are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are based in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in your local courts where the law gives you that right.
