Guarantees & accreditations

Proper checks, trusted partners and clear guarantees

Commercial solar is a long-term asset. Solar Britain works with vetted UK installers and finance partners so the warranties, accreditations and grid compliance behind every project are documented in writing — not just promised.

Product and performance warranties

Panel performance warranty

Tier-1 panel manufacturers typically guarantee at least 84–87% of rated output after 25 years. Exact figures are confirmed in your written proposal.

Panel product warranty

Manufacturer product warranties commonly run 12–25 years against defects, with the specific term shown alongside the panel selected for your site.

Inverter warranty

Commercial-grade string and central inverters carry 5–10 year standard warranties, with extensions available. The brand, term and extension cost are itemised.

Workmanship warranty

Installation-backed workmanship warranty covering mounting, cabling, weatherproofing and installation defects, typically for a minimum of 2 years.

Monitoring & O&M

Remote performance monitoring and optional preventative maintenance packages keep the system producing as designed across its working life.

Grid compliance (G99)

Larger commercial systems require a G99 application to the relevant DNO. Solar Britain partners manage the application, witness testing and final acceptance.

Installer credentials

Every project is delivered by a UK installer vetted against the credentials below. Specific certificates, scope and reference projects for your nominated installer are shared as part of the feasibility and proposal stage.

MCS or equivalent

MCS (or commercial-grade equivalent) certification for the design and installation of grid-connected solar PV systems.

NICEIC / NAPIT electrical

Electrical contractor registration with a recognised UK competent person scheme.

CHAS / SafeContractor

Health & safety pre-qualification through CHAS, SafeContractor or an equivalent SSIP-recognised scheme, covering working at height and CDM.

Insurance

Public liability cover of £5m or more and professional indemnity appropriate to project scale, confirmed before any works commence.

Vetted finance partners

Asset finance, lease and PPA introductions are made only through UK lenders and funders with experience underwriting commercial solar.

Documented handover

On completion you receive an O&M manual, electrical certificates, DNO acceptance, warranty registrations and monitoring access in a single handover pack.

Specific accreditation logos, certificate numbers and installer profiles will be published on this page as Solar Britain confirms its launch panel of installers.
